The Tuscany region
The region of Tuscany, formerly known as Tuszien, Tuscien, Tuskien, borders in the north with Liguria and Emilia-Romagna, in the east with the Marche and Umbria and in the south with Lazio. This popular region is located in central Italy and stretches from the Apennines to the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Tuscany is particularly known for its hilly landscape, characterized by the many pines, columnar cypresses, olive trees and grapevines.
